Keep your chin up
And your dignity even upper.
It’s okay to not be okay,
and just because you are broken, doesn’t mean you have to stay broken.
Just because you were hurt, doesn’t mean you have to hurt others,
and just because you were once loved, doesn’t mean you have to keep loving.
Life is not as dull and flat as it seems,
and you are not as shallow and depressing as you think.
It’s okay to cry once in a while,
but please don’t make it a habbit.
Not because you will seem weak of it, no, there is nothing wrong with it.
But it’s better to put a mask on for the universe,
That’s just another way of saying, “Screw it”.
My grandpa used to tell me that girls should not swear, or use violance to finish their job.
He used to tell me there is no use on looking back to the past cause life moves forward.
He used to tell me that everything happens for a reason,
and if you are patient enough,
there are treats in the end.
I’m starting to wonder what those treats are,
cause frankly I’m happy now,
but I hate the past.
Yes of course I learned from it.
And yes, of course, I lived by it.
But the past is the past,
and if I have to endure that again to get that “treats” in the end,
God I don’t know if I’ll be able to live through it.
Can we just put our dignities and chin up and forgot all about “it”?
I just can’t keep my mind off it.
Live is hard the way it is, can we not add more spices to it?
